  Sunday, May 25^th  beginning at 2:00 p.m. at the park, AIYSA will hold their Spring Festival /Annual General Meeting. Those that are new to soccer, at the end of every spring season AIYSA has an Annual General Meeting (AGM) to vote for board positions that have expired, take early registration for fall, and handout trophies for the spring season.  This year we have venders that will be at the AGM: House of Soccer, Extreme Signs and Graphics and maybe a massage therapist.  We will also have an exhibition soccer match by local area adults showing off their moves. New to the AGM will be our Little Kick’s doing a small-sided scrimmage. Little Kicks’ is AIYSA’s new program for 3 & 4 year olds.  This program teaches the basic fundamentals of soccer to the child and parent or guardian that participates with the child.  This will be a treat for all to watch as they show off their moves.

 Each team needs to decide if you want to grill out, buy a pizza, bring pot luck lunch or just handout trophies and enjoy the day relaxing and watching a couple of good games of soccer.  AIYSA will have the concession stand opened.  We will be selling drinks and pizza by the slice or whole pizzas for teams that order in advance.  Coaches you can come up early and set up a tent or canopy around the bottom fields where U6 and U8 teams play now.

 At the AGM, parents will be voting for board members whose term has expired.  The following positions are up for election this year: Treasurer, Commissioner At Large and Commissioner of Fields. Any person can be on the board as long as they have a child playing for AIYSA.  The Treasurer handles all AIYSA finances, Commissioner at Large handles all of the sponsorships, contacting potential sponsors, maintaining a database of all the current sponsors and the Commissioner of Fields coordinates the maintenance of the fields.  If any coach or parent is interested in either of these three positions, they should email their interest to Linda Shearer at LAShearer1@roadrunner.com or call her at 839-1227 before the AGM.  Their name will be placed on a written ballot to be distributed at the AGM, or write-in candidates may campaign for the position at the picnic.  Voting will be by written ballot by parent, the adult must present the vote in person at the AGM.  You must be present to vote!! All voting will be directed and monitored by the AIYSA President.  No absentee voting will be allowed. Anybody that has a child playing soccer with AIYSA is eligible to vote. Voting will take place at the soccer pavilion.
